It is the time of year when the children get to go on there non educational, fun year end school trips:)
Due to nursing, I am unable to go on my 2 eldest school trips:( They are all day trips. I don't think other parents would appreciate it if I just whipped out my 2 month old sons lunch, (aka 'the boob'). OR if I am responsible for a group of kids how do I say, ' You stay right here for 10 minutes so I can go and pump.' So, due to nursing I had to break the news and tell them that I am unable to go along with them.
I was already feeling bad knowing that I couldn't go, and then when I did tell them, I got, 'but Mom, it would mean so much if you could come! I really want you to come!'
Now with more guilt, and trying to make the situation better, I went on to explain to them how lucky they were that I was able to go on almost all of their field trips and some parents aren't able to go on any.
They will go and have a great time I know. But I know that the day of their field trips I will be wishing I was with them, I enjoy seeing their smiling faces as they experience new things with their friends. I really just love watching my kids learn, grow, experience new things, laugh and love life. Watching them makes me smile:)
Oh, the guilt of a mother never ends!

Well I am sure the girls with have a great time even if you can't make it this year. You'll get to hear more about it I am sure then if you went with them...maybe send along your camera if you are brave enough ;)
